The school is accredited and approved by the City & Guilds Institute of London, as a centre to offer hospitality qualifications, and affiliated with the South African Chefs Association to offer food and culinary arts training.

The School of Hospitality is situated at The Ananda Hotel, which has a relationship with RBI to provide the School with its training venue and to enable students to gain experience and learn in a real-life environment.

Our study programme offers four internationally recognised hospitality qualifications, namely:

  • Food preparation
  • Food and beverage services
  • Reception operations
  • Accommodation services

The hospitality qualifications are offered at three levels – first year certificate, second year diploma and third year advanced diploma, each covering theory and practical work. Students learn both at the school and do their practical training in the hospitality and catering industry.

RBI School of Hospitality provides students with an in-depth knowledge, skills and the appropriate attitude that is required to succeed in this industry. Our reputation is such that most students are employed even before they complete the course. Our students are taught to approach their studies with the enthusiasm and devotion required to succeed in this tough but rewarding industry.

Two students from The School of Hospitality are already working overseas - Koketso Modisane in the USA and Lesego Moseki in Dubai.

The requirements for admission are Matric certificate (With points not less than 20) and a valid identity document.
